Takeoff Will Reportedly Not Be Charged After Being Accused of Allegedly Raping a Woman at a Party in Los Angeles Last Year

Last year, Takeoff was in a bit of legal trouble as he was accused of rape by a woman at a party that took place in Los Angeles. Now, it looks like the Migos rapper is clear of any charges after an investigation was completed by the L.A. County District Attorney’s office, according to TMZ.

Takeoff will not be charged due to insufficient evidence of rape. His attorney, Drew Findling, told TMZ that his office spent “countless” hours investigating and they reached the same conclusion that prosecutors did. Findling says that “The allegations were patently and provably false.”

This lawsuit was originally filed in August as Jane Doe as sexual battery and assault were on the table. This woman claims that she hung out with Takeoff at a party in June but he made her uncomfortable after staring at her. Takeoff offered her weed and that was turned down.

The woman soon went upstairs with a man she met at that party. This reportedly had Takeoff angry as he argued with that man. The woman waited in a different room room as Takeoff soon entered. He allegedly attempted to feel on her buttocks. She denied wanting sex so she was then supposedly flipped over face down, had her clothes pulled off, and was raped. The woman then went to a local hospital and there was reported evidence of “forceful rape.” Sexual battery, assault, emotional distress, and damages.

Now that Takeoff is clear of any evidence of rape at this point, it looks like he can go back to focusing on the music. He, Quavo and Offset are expected to release their highly anticipated “Culture III” album sometime this year.
