Conscious rap is one of the toughest genres in hip hop to fulfill, because of the social responsibility that comes with it. But, Talib Kweli has managed to be one of the leaders in conscious rap and do it effortlessly. Getting messages of empowerment across is what Talib Kweli is good at.
Arsenio Hall is far from a rapper, but him bringing “The Arsenio Hall Show” back proves he is also an essential figure in hip hop. An overall positive person, everything Arsenio Hall does is about empowerment. This is what made his sitdown with Talib Kweli a must-see.
Talib Kweli came to “The Arseni Hall Show” in the midst of a lot of different things going on. In sports, the Los Angeles Clippers are one of the best teams in the league, breaking new records and their owner, Donald Sterling, was outed as racist. This, along with Jay-Z and the state of hip hop, was discussed.
