In this week’s episode of “Empire,” Taraji P. Henson brought cakes to go along with Cookie, her character. Those following “Empire” know Taraji plays the role of Cooke, the ex-wife of Terrence Howard’s Lucious. The couple appeared close to a reunion in last week’s episode.
However, in this week’s episode, Lucious called a meeting with his entire family and friends. Taraji’s Cookie was excited about this meeting, until she realized Lucious was announcing his engagement to his girlfriend. His actions prompted Cookie to do what she did in the above photo.
This current era of hip hop and urban entertainment is the era of the booty, with people questioning the likes of K. Michelle and Nicki Minaj about their curves. Lost in this craze is the natural woman, but Taraji P. Henson did her part to shift the focus back.
