TDE President, Punch, Appears To Deny Rumor That Kendrick Lamar Is Leaving The Label

Social media has been hot today as rumors have been swirling that Kendrick Lamar is leaving TDE after over a decade with the popular record label. There has been speculation that he is leaving to work on the pgLang record label which was founded by Dave Free, who is Lamar’s former manager and also a former TDE exec. Baby Keem is also on this roster, who is Lamar’s cousin.

Fans have since been waiting for a response to this rumor by TDE. We are now hearing from the label’s President, Punch, who seems to deny on Twitter that Lamar leaving. He just took to Twitter to say that “A rumor gets halfway around the world before the truth get it’s shoes on.”

Lamar has released four studio albums in total since 2011 under TDE. The first album was ‘Section. 80,’ which was put out back in 2011. Fans view his most successful and popular project as ‘Good Kid, M.A.A.D City,’ which was released in October 2012 and led by hit singles such as “Swimming Pools,” “Poetic Justice” featuring Drake, and “B*tch, Don’t Kill My Vibe.” Fans have since been waiting for a new album as his last solo album was ‘Damn‘ back in April 2017. Everyone has since breathed a sigh of relief since this tweet by Punch as many approve of Lamar being at TDE.
