Teachers are working under immense pressure and many are leaving the profession. As a result, certain areas are offering teachers financial incentives to come in and work. However, given what teachers are going through, most feel it’s not worth it. So, there are some places allowing people to work as teachers without fully completing the certifications. A Michigan teacher ended up seriously injured, after a confrontation with a student left her unconscious.
Each generation is seeing the children become worse. First, it was just children acting disrespectfully in front of adults. Second, there were children beginning to build comfort to openly disrespect the adults in their lives. Finally, it’s morphed into children confronting adults from all walks of life. Now, adults are complaining about being bullied by children. The worst place that this takes place at is within the school system.
Many teachers are leaving the profession in droves, saying the job is no longer worth it. In Flint, Michigan, there was a teacher who got into it with one of her students. There was some kind of verbal back and forth between the student and teacher. After that, the teacher went back to doing her job. Still upset, the student came behind the teacher with a chair, hitting her in the head. As a result, the teacher was knocked unconscious. Meanwhile, the superintended describes this as a “two student fight.”
