Monica Savage is the mother of 17-year-old aspiring rapper Raleigh Freeman III, who claimed his own life. She is speaking out after her son tragically took his own life during a live social media broadcast. Known by his stage name “Rylo Huncho,” Raleigh was seen singing into a camera while holding a gun. The video ended abruptly after he pointed the gun at himself. Thus, leading to his accidental death.
Raleigh’s family confirmed the video’s authenticity and shared their heartbreak. Monica described the devastating moment she found her son lying in his blood. “When I came in the house and saw my son in his blood… I ran across the street, and I almost got hit by a car trying to save my son’s life,” she recounted.
Raleigh was passionate about music, with several songs uploaded on YouTube showcasing his talent. While Suffolk Police could not confirm the video’s identity, they stated that a 17-year-old died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, believed to be accidental.
Savage expressed her confusion over where Raleigh obtained the gun, saying, “I didn’t know he had a gun. I did not know he had that.” She urged teens in the community to stay away from firearms to prevent similar tragedies.
As they prepare for his funeral, Raleigh’s family requests privacy, focusing on their grief and the loss of their beloved son.
