Last month, Tekashi 6ix9ine was ordered to serve two years in prison for his federal racketeering case along with his involvement with crimes committed with the Nine Trey Bloods. He snitched on the gang in September but it wasn’t enough to avoid more jail time. Luckily for 6ix9ine though, his sentence was given time served and he will be released this November. He can be out at the end of the summer though with good behavior.
6ix9ine was also ordered to a $35,000 fine and 300 hours of community service. He recently requested that he serve the remainder of his sentence at home due to safety concerns. According to TMZ though, Judge Paul Englemayer is now shutting down this request. Englemayer stressed that the full sentence is necessary in this case to reflect the seriousness of 6ix9ine’s crimes.
6ix9ine is scared of the prison he’s currently at due to it having so many bloods. He believes that his snitching will get him hurt. His lawyer, Dawn Florio, has since said an appeal will be filed against this decision. He originally faced 47 years.
6ix9ine is still one of the most popular rappers in the industry though as his debut album “Dummy Boy” peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart as it was released a week after being taken into federal custody in November of 2018. He has also signed a $10 million record deal with west coast label 10k projects this past fall.
