2018 seemed like it was going to be a major year for Tekashi 6ix9ine. Every single he put out was successful but was also notorious for his beefs with rappers like YG, Chief Keef, and 50 Cent. He is now incarcerated and could face a life sentence for racketeering, weapons, assault, and murder conspiracy charges. He will stay in jail until at least September 4, 2019, which is his trial date. Despite his circumstances, he still released his debut album “Dummy Boy” while locked up and fans are feeling it.
Prior to this new case, 6ix9ine beat one involving sex with a minor back in 2015. He received no jail time but got four years of probation. It’s looking like he will still face the consequences of that. According to Page Six, the Brooklyn rapper will likely be re-sentenced next week for posting a video of that 13-year-old girl online performing a sex act.
Prosecutors originally made this decision on Friday. 6ix9ine’s defense lawyer was present but he was not. He is already facing a life sentence so the additional baggage of this previous case will make his chances for freedom even more slim.
