Tekashi 6ix9ine will head to trial on September 4 for his racketeering, weapons, murder conspiracy, and assault case that he’s facing life in prison for. His lawyer Lance Lazzaro has been trying to prepare a $1.5 million bail package but it looks like his services with 6ix9ine could be finished due to a conflict of interest, according to XXL.
6ix9ine’s pre-trial conference took place today and Judge Paul A. Engelmayer ruled that Lazzaro is off the case for now. It was revealed that the conflict of interest comes from Lazzaro previously representing 6ix9ine’s former manager Kifano “Shotti” Jordan aka “Tr3way” and associate Faheem “Crippy” Walter. Engelmayer wasn’t too happy that Lazzaro never disclosed this information to him.
Lazzaro didn’t personally think that the lack of this info was a problem. For Tr3way, he represented him from 2009-2015. Due to this issue, Lazzaro won’t be able to take on this case anymore until he sends in letters detailing his work for Tr3way and Walter. They are due on January 28. If he’s not able to give a good explanation, he is 100% off the case.
The next pre-trial conference regarding Tekashi 6ix9ine is on February 27.
