Tems won the award for Best Collaboration at the BET Awards. Tems won alongside Justin Bieber and WizKid for their song, “Essence.” When Tems took the stage after the win, she did not speak. Instead, the woman who accompanied WizKid spoke, while Tems remained seated.
Tems has silently been taking over the game. Currently, Tems is a rising star. However, Tems and WizKid are only two of many artists from Africa that are dominating the game. As a result, Tems and WizKid are seeing their music dominate.
Tems ended up winning BET Award for the Best Collaboration, along with WizKid and Justin Bieber. With Bieber going through health issues, she was not going to the BET Awards. However, Tems and WizKid were not missing such a prime opportunity. When the moment came, though, Tems did not leave her seat. According to Twitter, Tems was nervous, and this is why she did not give a speech. As a result, Tems is getting a lot of love from the fans on Twitter. They love Tems’ humbleness, as she wins her first award at the BET Awards.
