They were that close.
The decision to play prevent defense did not help the Texans at all. It actually came back to bite them in the butt. The move enabled Drew Brees to gain the 6-9 yards needed to put Will Lutz in a great position to make the field goal that ened up winning the game for the Saints.
What’s worse is knowing that the Texans almost ran away with this game. They were making plays and less mistakes than the Saints. Everything was rollin until the second half where, due to some bad game decisions by the Texans defense, the Saints capitalized and found a way to snag the win.
No many Texans fans are lamenting all across social media, not feeling so good that the Saints ended up having the last laugh.
