Teyana Taylor to play role of Dionne Warwick in biopic
Teyana Taylor has been trending on social media over the past week, as she’s starring in the new “A Thousand And One” film. This was released on March 31, as it tells the story of a woman kidnapping her 6-year-old son from foster care, in New York City.
However, Teyana continues to have even more major film projects on the way. She recently revealed in an upcoming episode of the Tamron Hall Show, that she is going to be playing the role of legendary singer Dionne Warwick, in an upcoming biopic. As a result, production of this film is also currently ongoing. However, an official title and release date for the project hasn’t been publicly revealed just yet.
‘We’re already working on it,’ the dancer, added Taylor in a video to Billboard. “We’re in the building process right now.”
Meanwhile, Taylor is also set to perform at the upcoming Sol Blume R&B festival in Sacramento, CA, which is taking place from April 29-30. This comes after she ventured on her “The Last Rose Petal 2″ Farewell Tour, last fall. The title is in reference to Taylor’s departure as an artist. She also held a Last Rose Petal 2 Tour, in the fall of 2021.
