Teyana Taylor wins award for role in A Thousand and One
Despite family changes, Teyana Taylor has a big reason to celebrate. After announcing her separation from husband Iman Shumpert, Teyana shared a new accomplishment in her career. Recently the star won another award for her outstanding acting performance in the film “A Thousand and One”. The National Board of Review awarded her the category win for Breakthrough performance. Although a big win for her movie role, Teyana aspires to win an Oscar for her portrayal.
Teyana is a star who’s naturally gifted with many talents. Since her teen years, she’s made her way through Hollywood becoming a mega star. In addition to her being a singer and dancer, she’s an incredible creative director and actress. Her long list of films include Coming 2 America, Entergalactic, Brotherly Love, White Man Can’t Jump, Honey :Rise Up and Dance and the new release The Book of Clarance. In addition to movie roles, Teyana is a visionary of creative direction. Last year she became the creative director for Lil Baby’s “It’s Only Us Tour”.
Further adding to her recent win, the film has already won six other awards. Amongst these include the Toronto Film Critics Association, Sundance Film Festival, Gotham Awards and Independent Spirit Awards. Check out the full trailer below.
