103.5 FM (Carboro/Chapel Hill, NC) will now have hip hop programming from 6 to 7:00 PM (Eastern Time). “The Anchor Show,” which launched earlier this year, was moved from the 1:00 AM time slot, where it ran for two hours, to the primetime spot of 6:00 PM.

“The Anchor Show” is hosted by V!RTU, who is also a rapper. The show is geared towards lyrical hip hop and serves as an outlet for the North Carolina hip hop scene. While serving as an outlet for artists in North Carolina, V!RTU says he is in the business of helping out all good artists who need additional exposure.

Listeners can tune into 103.5 FM on weekends to listen to “The Anchor Show,” tune in online at WCOMFM.ORG, or catch tapings of the show on Hip Hop Vibe. “The Anchor Show” has several outlets and they are all geared towards helping out independent artists and labels.
