Racism is something that never died, but things had gotten better, increasingly, over time. A reversal began, in 2008, and everyone knows what happened, during that year. By 2016, it was clear racism is alive and well.
Now, in 2019, racism is the worst that it has been, in a generation, as racists are open about theirs. Recently, a woman got angry, on the phone, booking a hotel room. Out of frustration, she referred to the man on the phone as a “f*cking n*gger.”
When the woman arrived at the hotel, she encountered the man, who refused to book her room. He remembered her voice and repeatedly told people what she called him, as she apologized and pleaded, telling him her grandmother died, and she was hurt. Twitter named him MVP for him telling her he was hurt when she called him a racial slur, reminding her “The Best Western Is Next Door.”
