Before the Golden State Warriors took over the world, they were forming a “little brother” rivalry with the LA Clippers. Both teams had similar histories, being the forgotten California teams. There were good reasons for both teams being forgotten.

Once the Clippers paired Blake Griffin and Chris Paul, they emerged to take over the West. As good as they became during the regular season, they could never get it right in the playoffs. This is a problem the Warriors didn’t have for long.

During the early part of this NBA season, the Clippers jumped out to the best record in the league. Also, the Warriors “struggled,” but things have now returned to the post-2014 norm and Golden State is on top. Projections, however, had the Clippers wearing the Warriors out tonight and Twitter is enjoying that this is not the case.
