During Memorial Day weekend in Las Vegas, Meek Mill ran into some issues at The Cosmopolitan resort as they refused to let him inside. He was trying to get in to attend the DJ Mustard show at Marquee day club. Security approached Meek as soon as he arrived and threatened to arrest him for trespassing. Meek then posted footage of the incident on Instagram saying that they racially profiled him. His attorney, Joe Tacopina, soon said that the resort keeps a list of black rappers that they’ve banned and that they’d be sued.
The Cosmo is doing everything they can to avoid the lawsuit as they’re now apologizing to Meek. Per TMZ, they released a statement issuing the apology. The Cosmo mentioned how Meek never got into any trouble at their resort and they don’t tolerate discrimination.
Meek has since accepted their apology and Joe Tacopina has confirmed that there will be no lawsuit. It’s good to see that both sides worked things out. Hopefully, the part about The Cosmo having a list of black rappers that they’ve banned isn’t real.
