The-Dream talks Jay-Z and Beyonce with Hot 97 [VIDEO]

Ever since The-Dream first gained fame, there has been a push/pull relationship between he and Jay-Z. In the late fall of 2007, The-Dream rose to fame with his “Shawty is a 10” single, where he famously exclaimed, “I don’t need no hook for this shit.” The following month, Jay-Z used the line on “No Hook,” off American Gangster.

However, The-Dream and Jay-Z have remained close. The last major single from Jay-Z came in 2011 off Watch the Throne with Kanye West. “No Church in the Wild,” which famously featured Frank Ocean on the hook, also featured The-Dream. For their efforts, the trio won a Grammy back in February and Jay-Z teased Dream for his outfit.

The-Dream is now preparing to release his IV Play album and he has dealt with questions about the jab Jay-Z gave him. Denying any real beef, The-Dream revealed they were working together and accidentally revealed too much. Jay-Z tends to be secretive about his projects until they are completed, but The-Dream opened up about the rumored new album from him during his interview with Angie Martinez for Hot 97.
