The LOX and Dipset Received Huge Streaming Boosts, After Their Epic Verzuz Battle

On August 3, two of the best groups in hip-hop history went at it on Verzuz. This was between The LOX and Dipset, both NY natives, who held this event at the legendary Madison Square Garden. Many unanimously believed that The LOX won, but nonetheless, it was definitely a legendary battle. Fans also packed out the venue, as tickets were available for purchase, and they brought the energy for sure.

Of course, Verzuz always guarantees big increases in streams for artists, following their appearance on the platform. This was the case for The LOX and Dipset as well, according to Billboard.

The LOX totaled 3.4 million U.S. on-demand streams in the week of August 5th, which is a 215% increase from the previous week’s total of 1.1 million. For The LOX, this was also the fifth-best streaming week of their career. The previous record for them was 6.6 million, for their 2020 “Living Off XPerience” album.

For Dipset, the group saw 2 million additional streams, coming off of this Verzuz battle. This is a 117% rise from their previous week’s total of 919,000. The Verzuz streams was their fourth best streaming week to date, beating out 4.4 million streams from November 29, 2018. Then, they released their “Diplomatic Ties” album.

Dipset and The LOX will also be going on tour together next month. Exact dates, cities, and venues have yet to be released to the public yet, though.
