Christopher Wallace aka “The Notorious B.I.G.” was set to get his own street renamed after him in his hometown of Brooklyn and it was made official this afternoon. The corner of Fulton Street and St. James Place in Clinton Hill became “Christopher ‘Notorious B.I.G.’ Wallace Way.” This street was where he originally grew up in the Bedford–Stuyvesant area.

It was a rainy day in Brooklyn but the celebration didn’t stop as B.I.G.’s friends and family were in attendance, including his son CJ, daughter T’Yanna, and mother Voletta, as well as council members. Junior M.A.F.I.A. members Lil Kim and Lil Cease was there to celebrate his legacy as well.

“This street is going to be a love street. People are going to come here and they’re going to know that a young man, my son, was living here,” said Voletta Wallace. (Via CBS New York)

His son CJ has been an active entrepreneur as well as his daughter T’Yanna who owns her own clothing store called “Notoriouss” which pays homage to B.I.G.
