The Weeknd and Swedish House Mafia to replace Kanye West at Coachella

The Weeknd and Swedish House Mafia replace Kanye West at Coachella

Earlier this week, Kanye West officially pulled out of his upcoming scheduled performance at Coachella, this month. No specific reason ended up being given, but that came after rumors that he told Kim Kardashian that he would be going away to get help. That came after his Instagram rants in March, that led him to being suspended for 24 hours, on the app.

Kanye was one of the most anticipated headliners for Coachella this month. Organizers reportedly didn’t mind that Ye canceled his performance though, as they just want him to feel better. The search was then on for who would replace Kanye on the April 17 and 24 weekend.

Coachella has now confirmed that The Weeknd and Swedish House Mafia will be taking the stage, in place of Kanye, on the same night. These artists know each other well, as they are under the same management at SALXCO. In October, Weeknd and Swedish House Mafia also put out their “Moth to a Flame” song together.

Other headliners set to perform at Coachella, are Billie Eilish and Harry Styles. Other hip-hop and R&B stars include Lil Baby, 21 Savage, Ari Lennox, Giveon, Megan Thee Stallion, Doja Cat, Baby Keem, and more.
