Over the past decade, The Weeknd has established himself as one of the biggest artists in the world. This has been especially evident, with recent projects such as “After Hours” and “Dawn FM.

One of Weeknd’s biggest records to date, has been “Blinding Lights.” This was initially released in November 2019, as it debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. This single was also certified diamond in the US, this year. Blinding Lights went on to appear on Weeknd’s fourth studio album, “After Hours,” in March 2020, which also debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart.

However, Blinding Lights continues to reach even more epic milestones. According to Chart Data, it is now the most streamed song in Spotify history. It surpasses Ed Sheeran’s “Shape Of You,” with 3.332 billion streams. Blinding Lights has consistently broken streaming records, since its release, over three years ago.

2022 has been legendary for Weeknd, as the Dawn FM album was released in January. That saw a number two debut, as it was led by the hit single, “Take My Breath.” Weeknd also ventured on his “After Hours Til Dawn” North American Tour. The second leg of the tour will come in June 2023, to Europe and Latin America.
