Possibly, “The Wire” is the most-influential television series of all-time, as the HBO drama birthed a new sub-genre. As entertainment has drifted online, a plethora of web shows have emerged. Many of these shows portray the grittiness of their respective cities.

 

All of this began on “The Wire,” as they showed the Baltimore streets for what it was. Since then, “The Wire” has become one of those shows with a cult following. It also birthed the infamous GIF that shows Wee-Bey in astonishment.

Everyone in hip hop circles knew this came from “The Wire,” but the internet has caught up on Christmas morning. The scene of Wee-Bey (Hassan Jackson) with Idris Elba’s character has gone viral. As the world finally saw the scene, they are reliving the greatness that is Wee-Bey.
