Often, it is said that good things come to those who wait and viewers of the BET network have waited for a long time. But, BET lived up to their promises, even coming up with the “We Got You” tagline. Proof of their honesty comes in “The Quad.”
Easily the best show on television, “The Quad” is showing the life of something never discussed. Of its kind, “The Quad” is the first drama about college life, specifically on HBCU campuses. The past few episodes have hit close to home.
A few weeks ago, Sydney (Jazz Raycole) was sent a video of her being raped on the ground, outside, behind a park bench. Immediately, she took the information to her mom, Dr. Eva Fletcher (Anika Noni Rose), who is using her position to fight back. In tonight’s episode, she was full-on mama bear, as she demanded justice, meanwhile the man who attacked her denied raping her, with some seeing it his way, leading to a massive Twitter discussion.
