Third grade teacher was drunk on the first day of school
In Oklahoma, there seems to always be some kind of situation going on. However, this situation is extreme, even in this new era. The past decade has seen standards of all kinds reach new lows. Even with that, most would expect some semblance of respect to remain, where teachers are concerned. However, there’s a 53-year-old teacher who was arrested, after being accused of showing up drunk for the first day of school.
The third grade is normally a pivotal year for students. Normally, third graders are around eight years old. During this period of time, children make the transition from being truly small children to having some sense of the world. In other words, this is one of the first comings of age for children. While the kids do learn a lot at these ages, they need to be taught the right things. According to the accusations, this teacher taught the kids plenty of wrong.
Teachers across the United States are beyond stressed out. The past three years have not made this any easier, unfortunately. However, before the pandemic, there were tons of things for teachers to stress about. The same remains now. One teacher is accused of showing up to her third grade class, drunk, on the first day of school. Her breath test came back three times higher than the legal limit. As a result, she was arrested, but was later released.
