TIDAL gets accused of faking numbers on Beyonce and Kanye West in order to make their streams look higher

Three years ago, Jay-Z purchased Aspiro, the parent company of the streaming service, TIDAL. This purchase came after he proposed partnerships to Spotify, and other streaming services. His idea was different, as it gave ownership to the artists.

Jay-Z held a major press conference, with the likes of Usher, Beyonce, himself, Madonna, Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, and Rihanna. Later, Jay-Z said he would never do a press conference like that, again. In that same interview, he scoffed at claims that TIDAL fakes streams.

Ironically, earlier this afternoon, TIDAL was accused of faking streaming numbers. As many remember, in 2016, Kanye West and Beyonce released albums on the platform that did well over 200 million streams. A major claim has surfaced, accusing TIDAL of faking those numbers in order to enhance the look.
