TDE founder crowns Kendrick Lamar as winner in beef vs Drake

Last weekend was a legendary one in hip-hop, as Kendrick Lamar and Drake fired off various diss records agains each other. Kendrick dropped off four for that weekend, as Drake released two. As a result, many crowned Kendrick as the winner in this beef that has publicly been lingering since late March. Kendrick’s disses have included accusing Drake of hiding an 11-year-old daughter, as well as pedophilia.

Meanwhile, Top Dawg Entertainment founder Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith took to Twitter/X on Friday night, to crown Kendrick as the winner in this beef with Drake. Kendrick had been signed to TDE since the late 2000s, up until his latest studio album, “Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers,” in 2022. That debuted atop the Billboard 200 chart, and won Best Rap Album at the Grammys.

“This battle is over,” Anthony Tiffith explained. “A win for the culture, while keeping it all on wax. Especially when these publications try to make it something else. We proved them wrong. That’s a victory within itself. On another note, it’s time to wrap up this TDE 20yr anniversary compilation.”

Kendrick’s last Drake diss was “Not Like Us,” last weekend. There, he emphasized that Drake and his crew are involved in pedophilia. Therefore, Drake’s response came last Sunday, which was “The Heart Part 6.” That was named after Kendrick’s “The Heart Part 5,” as many seemed to believe that Drake sounded defeated, and didn’t try hard to deny allegations against him.

Furthermore, Kendrick’s Not Like Us is also expected to debut atop the Billboard Hot 100. Moreover, this includes having the biggest US streaming debut for a solo hip-hop single, in this decade.
