Tory Lanez to release “Alone At Prom” deluxe album from prison
Earlier this month, Tory Lanez was officially sentenced to 10 years in prison. This came after he was convicted in his trial in December, for shooting Megan Thee Stallion in July 2020. Therefore, Tory was hit with a 10-year prison sentence.
Meanwhile, Tory has since been sent to a prison 120 miles outside of Los Angeles, which has been known to be a dangerous facility. This is the North Kern State Prison in Delano, CA. Moreover, Tory has also been completely separated from other inmates. However, TMZ recently reported that the Toronto rapper surprisingly wants to be in the general population, despite recent claims that he fears for his life.
On Monday, Tory also put out a voice message from prison, to his Instagram feed. There, he explained how he’s in a good place mentally, and isn’t letting being incarcerated break him. Furthermore, he added that new music is on the way. This comes after Tory was recently denied bail, and is still appealing his sentence.
Some of this new music is the deluxe edition to his 2021 “Alone At Prom” album. On this project, Tory experimented with 80s style music, as he’s put out albums of various genres, since 2020.
