Tory Lanez facing felony negligent discharge of a firearm

Tory Lanez’ trial for his 2020 Megan Thee Stallion shooting case is beginning, and is dealing with another felony charge. According to TMZ, he is now being charged with felony negligent discharge of a firearm. Tory had already been charged with assault with a semiautomatic firearm, and carrying a loaded and unregistered firearm. Tory initially plead not guilty to the first two charges, back in November 2020.

As of now, jury selection has been in the process of occurring, over the past week. Next week will see opening statements. If convicted, Tory faces 22 years and eight months in prison.

Tory is accused of shooting Megan Thee Stallion in her feet, back in July of 2020. At the time, the two supposedly got into an argument inside a car, after a night of partying. A month later, Megan publicly went on Instagram Live and made the claim that Tory shot her. Tory went on to firmly deny this accusation, as he even did so throughout his “Daystar” album, released that September. That even went on to debut at number nine on the Billboard 200 chart.
