Tory Lanez sentenced to 10 years in prison in shooting trial

Tory Lanez’s sentencing for his Megan Thee stallion shooting trial finally took place on Monday, as many anticipated Tory to receive between 10-13 years in prison, as this is what the prosecution was looking for. However, the sentencing was brought over to Tuesday, as time ran out on Monday.

As a result, Tory has just officially been sentenced to 10 years in prison, according to legal reporter Meghann Cuniff. Tory was initially convicted back in December, of three felonies. Following this sentencing, Tory claimed that he still cares about Megan and that he cares for her dearly, to this day. Furthermore, he reflected on both of them losing their mothers. In addition to these comments, Tory admitted that he previously made immature comments about Megan.

Tory had been bashing the judge and prosecution this year, as he believed that he was being mistreated, is innocent, and accused them of trying to send an innocent Black man to jail.

Megan Thee Stallion initially called out Tory for being the one who shot her, during an August 2020 Instagram Live session. Tory was said to have shot Megan after she left a car the two were inside, after an argument. The two initially partied together that night in Los Angeles, with Megan’s ex-best friend Kelsey Nicole, as well as Kylie Jenner.
