Tory Lanez’s song lyrics and music videos could be used in his trial if he decides to testify

Tory Lanez’s music could be used as evidence in trial

This is currently week 2, of Tory Lanez standing trial, for his Megan Thee Stallion shooting case. There have been many surprising developments, which includes Meg’s former friend Kelsey Harris’ testimony. She admitted that she gave false information to prosecutors in September, as she doesn’t recall many moments on the night of the July 2020 shooting. She went on to say in this trial, that she saw Tory shoot Meg. The magazine of the gun used in the shooting also didn’t have Tory’s DNA on it.

However, Tory has yet to testify, as a defendant. This could be likely due to more evidence being used against him. According to Law Crime News’ Meghann Cuniff, Judge Herriford explained that if Tory testifies, lyrics from his music and visuals from music videos could be used in court, if it relates to the case. As many remember, Tory put out his “Daystar” album in September 2020, where he firmly denied being involved in shooting Megan.

Should Tory testify, Deputy DA Bott also wants to ask him about a Miami assault incident, last year. This involves attacking “Love and Hip-Hop” Miami star, Prince. Tory and his security also attacked Prince in Miami, back in 2019. That resulted in a lawsuit, in 2020.

If convicted, Tory faces 22 years in prison. He initially plead not guilty to two felony assault charges in November 2020, but was hit with a third, prior to this trial starting.
