Spreading awareness in urban media has been Touré, who often provides commentary on many urban stations. While he has spread awareness over the past couple of years, he has continued to interview in the hip hop world. Touré is fresh off the release of his new book.
Major headlines came for Touré in 2006 when Jay-Z and Nas officially made their beef over. Of course, all the hip hop media outlets wanted a piece of the action that was the biggest hip hop feud post-Tupac/Biggie ending. But, there were only two people Jay-Z and Nas chose to talk to and that was Sway Calloway and Touré.
Recently, Sway Calloway talked to Touré about this and his new book during an interview for his Shade 45 show, “Sway in the Morning.” In the interview, Touré talked about Jay-Z and Nas coming together and them only interviewing with Sway and himself. Touré also went on to speak on why he only wears suits when he is speaking with the media.
