Those old enough remember when Toys ‘R Us was everything. Yeah, most stores have toys and toy sections, but Toys ‘R Us was THE place for toys. In those old days, not every town had a store, so it was a big thing to go to one and get whatever the hearts desired.
Toys ‘R Us would expand, as most businesses do, and was located in every mid-sized city, by the mid-2000s. That is when the company began facing internal issues. These internal issues led to the demise of the company, which had nothing different than a Walmart or Target.
The way that Sears is going is where Toys ‘R Us went, even though there was promise of them coming back. As Sears is doing, Toys ‘R Us is, they are reinventing themselves. By Christmas, the company plans to have six new US locations, which will have a play area for the kids.
