Trae Young and John Collins get into heated argument with Jaden Ivey for scoring at the end of the game, despite the Hawks winning by over 20 points [VIDEO]

Trae Young and John Collins confront Jaden Ivey after game

Trae Young is the core of this Atlanta Hawks team, alongside John Collins. Two years ago, during the second shortened season, Trae led the Hawks to the Eastern Conference Finals. As the fifth seed, they defied all expectations. After upsetting the top seeded Philadelphia 76ers, they ended up pushing the eventual champion Milwaukee Bucks to six games. The Hawks have struggled ever since. Last night, they got an easy win over the Detroit Pistons. Still, Trae and John Collins got into it with Jaden Ivey.

Trae Young was once viewed as the most promising young star in the NBA. In only his third season, he had his team within two wins of the NBA Finals. However, the team lost in the first round of the playoffs last season. They also made trades, last season, giving up Cam Reddish in the process. This season, they shook things up by firing Nate McMillan as their coach. But the team has continued to struggle, even after adding DeJounte Murray during the offseason.

Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks were expected to win around 50 games this season. Instead, they are barely holding on to a postseason spot. The Hawks even blew a 24 point lead to the San Antonio Spurs, one of the NBA’s worst teams. However, they had a 24 point win over the Detroit Pistons. At the end of the game, Jaden Ivey split the defense to cut it to 22. While this was still an easy win, Trae Young and John Collins apparently took offense, as they stepped to Ivey at the end of the game.
