Trai Byers (Andre Lyon) talks #Empire success and what character he would kick off with Power 106 [VIDEO]

The show that swept the nation, this TV season, is “Empire,” which recently returned to FOX. Created by Lee Daniels, “Empire” stars urban icons, Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson. Playing Lucious and Cookie, Trai Byers plays their oldest son, Andre.

Many billed Jussie Smollett as the breakout star of season one, but the storyline was written that way. The man who stole the show, in the eyes of many, was Trai Byers. Playing Andre being a businessman and dealing with bipolar disorder, he raised awareness.

Trai Byers recently stopped by Power 106 to talk to J Cruz on his new show, “The Cruz Show.” During the interview, Trai Byers talked about the success on “Empire” and the characters he would kick off. He would also talk about being engaged to his co-star, Grace Gealey, who plays Anika on the show.
