Travis Scott holds HBCU Celebrity Softball Classic in Houston
Travis Scott has been participating in various events benefitting local communities lately, as one included partnering with MLB legend Reggie Jackson, for Jackson’s Mr. October Celebrity Golf Classic, in Palm City, FL.
From February 16-19, Travis and his Cactus Jack Foundation also hosted their annual HBCU Celebrity Softball Classic, which is part of a 3-day Cactus Jack HBCU tournament. This game was held at Minute Main Park, on February 16, in Travis’ hometown of Houston. This venue is also home to the defending World Series champion Houston Astros.
Among the celebrities that participated in the HBCU Celebrity Softball Classic were Metro Boomin, Jose Conseco, Reggie Jackson, Bun B, Slim Thug, Tracy McGrady, Carl Lewis, Lil Flip, Trae Tha Truth, Pall Wall, and more. Travis and the rest of the Webster family were also honored with the Vangaurd award for recognition of immeasurable contributions in support of HBCU’s, via the Waymon Webster Scholarship Fund.
As a result, proceeds of this event benefitted towards the Cactus Jack Foundation and the Waymon Webster HBCU Scholarship Fund. In addition to this event, Cactus Jack merch, giveaways, prizes, raffles, and a silent auction table with one-of-a-kind music and sports memorabilia including merchandise from select performing artists, were also made available.
