In response to the widespread devastation caused by Hurricane Beryl, Travis Scott’s Cactus Jack Foundation, in collaboration with the Houston Food Bank and Houston Responds, has launched a comprehensive relief effort in Missouri City, Texas. The hurricane, which resulted in severe flooding, power outages affecting nearly 3 million homes and businesses, and tragically claimed at least eight lives, prompted urgent action from the foundation.

Operating on a first-come, first-served basis, the relief drive in Missouri City has become a vital lifeline for local communities grappling with the aftermath of the storm. Essential supplies including water, ice, food, and other necessities are being distributed to assist over 2,000 families who are currently without power.

Notably, alongside immediate aid distribution, the Cactus Jack Foundation has introduced an innovative solution to address the housing crisis faced by displaced residents. Partnering with Houston Responds, the foundation launched an emergency hotel grant fund. This initiative provides temporary accommodation through hotel vouchers, offering crucial support to families in urgent need of shelter due to prolonged electricity shortages.

The drive has garnered significant community support and attention, drawing notable figures from Travis Scott’s family including his mother, brother, and foundation spokesperson, Jordan Webster. Their presence underscores the foundation’s dedication to providing practical assistance and solidarity to those most affected by Hurricane Beryl.
