Travis Scott Posts Video, Addressing Tragic Astroworld Festival Incidents, Where Eight People Died; Is Looking to Assist Victims’ Families

On Friday night, day 1 of Travis Scott’s Astroworld festival, in Houston, became a disaster. Eight people lost their lives, due to injuries, and someone allegedly injecting drugs into them. Fans were trampled on, as 11 people went on to suffer from cardiac arrest. 300 people ended up getting treated for their injuries.

Saturday’s list of concerts at Astroworld, ended up being canceled, as the festival suffered the worst way to return, after its 2020 hiatus. Astroworld Fest and Travis both ended up releasing statements about the tragedies that occurred, and now, the Houston rapper is now putting out a video, where he discussed what happened.

On Saturday night, Travis said in his video, he sent out prayers to loved ones of the deceased, and said that he and his team are working now to identify the victim’s families, and assist then. He emphasized that he always wants to give his fans positive experiences, and they mean the world to him.

Travis also said that he would always stop his shows, to help fans in need. On Friday night, he claimed to not have known the severity of the situations that were occurring. Travis maintained that is still feeling devastated, about everything that’s happened. He also asked fans to contact local authorities, if they have any more information.
