Travis Scott Releases Statement, After Astroworld Festival Gets Canceled, Due to Eight People Dying – “I’m Absolutely Devastated By What Took Place Last Night”

Travis Scott’s annual Astroworld Festival made its highly anticipated return to his hometown of Houston last night. Unfortunately though, the worst possible scenarios occurred. At least eight people ended up dying from injuries, and were also allegedly drugged, in the middle of the massive crowd of 50,000.

The festival released a statement regarding these horrific incidents, and now, Travis is now speaking out, on Twitter. He explained how devastated he is about what happened at NRG Park, as well as offering prayers to all those affected by what happened, during Astroworld Festival.

“I’m absolutely devastated by what took place last night. My prayers go out to the families and all those impacted by what happened at Astroworld Festival. Houston PD has my total support as they continue to look into the tragic loss of life. I am committed to working together with the Houston community to heal and support the families in need. Thank you to Houston PD, Fire Department, and NRG Park for their immediate response and support. Love You All.”

At this point, it would be no surprise to see a good amount of lawsuits surface. This was supposed to be an epic return for Astroworld Festival, as last night, Drake, Travis, SZA, Roddy Ricch, and more performed last night. Now, a dark cloud is hovering over the festival.
