In July, Travis Scott delivered his first album since 2018’s “Astroworld.” This was the highly anticipated “Utopia,” which went on to debut atop the Billboard 200. Furthermore, that also became Travis’ third straight number one album, and spent its first three weeks at number one.

Meanwhile, Utopia has also reached another major milestone. According to Chart Data, it is now the number one best selling hip-hop album in the US in 2023, by total units. This surpasses Metro Boomin’s “Heroes & Villains,” which was released in December 2022. 19 songs were on Utopia, including collaborations with SZA, Future, 21 Savage, Drake, The Weeknd, Beyoncé, Dave Chappelle, and much more. The features were initially surprises, as fans caught on to them, while listening to the album on the night of its release.

Moreover, Travis’ Circus Maximus-Utopia Tour is also kicking off, this month. The first date will be held on October 11, in Charlotte. 39 shows will be available in total, as the tour will go on to conclude on December 29, in Toronto. This comes after 11 new dates were added. This is Travis’ first tour since 2019, when he ventured on his Astroworld Tour.
