Trick Daddy is the king of Miami and he’s coming back for his throne to add to his legacy

When it comes to hip hop, in the 1990s and 2000s, Trick Daddy is a name that comes to mind. While he wasn’t the first Miami rapper to emerge, he is the person people think of, when it comes to Miami rap. A lot has changed and Trick Daddy doesn’t have many current hits.

But, Miami remains on top of the game, behind hits from Rick Ross and DJ Khaled. One thing they have in common is Trick Daddy giving them his co-sign, early on. In the case of DJ Khaled, Trick Daddy is even featured on his breakout hit, “I’m So Hood.”

Trick Daddy last posted a hit, in 2006, with “Bet That,” featuring Chamillionaire and Gold Rush. But, Trick Daddy made a lot of noise, when he started posting more on social media. His Instagram videos are classics and his “Famous and Uncensored” podcast with Supa Cindy is highly popular.

Currently, Trick Daddy is back in the spotlight, courtesy of VH1’s “Love & Hip Hop Miami.” This is the perfect platform for him to introduce his new music with Trina, as the two have reunited for a joint album. After seeing some other artists from his era launch comebacks, Trick Daddy has decided to, as well.

A big different that Trick Daddy has, from the others, is that his influence on the game is still present. Look no further than Drake’s “God’s Plan” music video, which dropped today. The visuals were dope, and are getting mad props, but fans are saying Drake should have had Trick Daddy do a cameo.

Pretty soon, Trick Daddy will have tons more music videos, of his own, out, where he re-establishes himself as a force, in the game. Already, he and Trina have new music out, where Trick Daddy continues his legacy, opening doors for some of the newer artists, such as Mike Smiff.
