Fifteen plus years ago, the Miami hip hop scene returned to prominence with some new faces and names. Trick Daddy had been doing his thing for years, but he soon introduced Trina to the game. Initially, she showed up on many of Trick Daddy’s songs, answering his lines.
But, Trina soon branched out and had her own run of success. The Miami femcee is currently back at it and she has a new album in the works for 2015, which will be her first in five years. This is her sixth studio album, which she is releasing independently.
Trina recently sat down with VladTV and she spoke on her past label deals, discussing Slip-N-Slide Records’ current status. In the interview, she also talked about her upcoming album, coming up later this year. She also talked about how her rap career began, revealing she had just completed school to become a real estate agent.
