TRL with no music videos? #TRLPremiere was trashed by fans on Twitter for being nothing like the original #TRL

Today was supposed to be a big day for music, and pop culture, as a whole, as “TRL” returned to MTV. In 2007, the show was cancelled, airing its last episode in 2008. The show was taken off the air, for seemingly no reason.

At the time, YouTube was gaining popularity, and many music videos were available there. Still, the ratings were solid, but “TRL” was replaced by the reality shows that have come to define MTV. But, as the network looks to overhaul, “TRL” was brought back.

The only problem has been that this, simply, is not “TRL.” This show is not like the one that left, nine years ago. There is the crowd outside and the hosts are more popular than before, DC Young Fly and DJ Khaled, but the rest is amiss, NO MUSIC VIDEOS, so fans are going in on this one.
