Since the Irving Plaza shooting, before the T.I. concert, Troy Ave has been out of the public eye. Following his 2013 breakthrough, Troy Ave appeared to be primed for the spotlight. Typically, an artist has a three year window to claim their spot.
Troy Ave, instead of taking over the game, got into a tight legal situation. Going behind bars, Troy Ave ended up leaving his entire team. Now, the Brooklyn rapper is back, as a 100% solo artist, with some moves to make.
Returning to the spotlight, Troy Ave stopped by Hot 97, where he spoke to DJ Drewski. The two talked about 50 Cent, the Irving Plaza incident, and 6ix9ine. With the legal situation Troy Ave went through, he can somewhat relate to what 6ix9ine has going on.
