For the past couple of years, Troy Ave has been one of New York’s most talked about rappers. Most people started paying attention to him in 2011, when French Montana and A$AP Rocky made a lot of noise. But, it was 2013 when Troy Ave really made his move.

Despite being just a popular up-and-comer with buzz, Troy Ave made a bold prediction, he was going to bring New York back. Independently, he sought to do just that. Modeling himself after 50 Cent and his crew after G-Unit, Troy Ave continues making his presence felt.

Troy Ave, who brought BSB member, Young Lito, visited Shade 45 to speak with Sway for “Sway In The Morning.” During their interview, they talked about the unique path they have taken as independent artists. Their conversation also mentioned the crew getting rich.
