In the wake of all these West Coast artists emerging in hip hop’s forefront, it was only right for Tupac to be in the mix. This year marked seventeen years that he left the physical for the spiritual, but Tupac is still having an impact on the game. His work was so powerful that hip hop can never truly move past it, so they move with it.
“California Love” marked Tupac’s arrival here in Los Angeles and alongside Dr. Dre, he made a classic that makes the LA natives proud to this day. The song helped to introduce the All Eyez On Me album, which is considered a classic by most. What was always impressive about Tupac is that he was always writing.
Tupac’s writings always cause a lot of stir because they are pieces of one of the most-iconic hip hop figures ever. Every now and again, some of Tupac’s writings leak to the internet and it’s always a cause for discussion. Today, Tupac’s writings for “California Love” and a few others hit the internet.
