Back in 2012, Turk was made a free man after spending eight years in prison. Immediately, Turk got right to work and he began releasing mixtapes. His latest mixtape release was Get Money, Stay Real, which dropped last fall.
When Turk talked to Hip Hop Vibe, back in 2012, he mentioned some labels he had interest in signing to. Among those labels was Cash Money Records, his original label home. Before his prison stint, Turk left the label for the same reasons Juvenile and B.G. did.
Recently, Lil Wayne has become very vocal in speaking out against his “father,” Birdman, and Cash Money Records, filing a lawsuit against them. Very quickly, Turk followed suit, which came as a surprise to many. Turk talked to TMZ’s Harvey Levin about his decision to file the lawsuit against his former label.
