Twista speaks on 1990s hip hop and His Career

While there are plenty of arguments about the current state of hip hop, nearly everyone can agree the 1990s were among the best periods of time in hip hop history. Many of the current rap stars rose to prominence in the 1990s. Twista was among the number of rappers to debut during the 1990s, which many consider the golden era of hip hop.

However, most casual hip hop fans likely do not remember Twista until late 2003. Kanye West, who was a producer for Roc-A-Fella Records, at the time, was preparing to launch his rap career. At the time, Twista was in negotiations to join the label. This and both of them being from Chicago led to Kanye West and Twista working together.

Both rappers released their albums in 2004 and took over the game. Over the past seven years, Twista has enjoyed a nice run in the game. Twista has posted hits with Trey Songz, Chris Brown, and Kanye West, only naming a few. Recently, Twista talked about all of this with The FADER.
