Twitter reacts to Missy Elliott stealing the show during Katy Perry’s #SuperBowlXLIX performance with Lenny Kravitz

From the late 1990s into the early 2000s, Missy Elliott was one of the biggest artists in the game. A rapper, singer, songwriter, and producer, Missy Elliott was on every song. Then, the songs she wasn’t on, she was working with the artist.

A decade ago, all of this changed and Missy Elliott went into a hiatus that continued until the present date. Outside of a brief 2007-2008 comeback, there hasn’t been much from Missy Elliott. But, she was all over the news in rumors that Katy Perry would bring her out during the Super Bowl.

With Katy Perry performing during the Super Bowl halftime show, there were rumors of Missy Elliott being a surprise guest. These rumors were confirmed, tonight, when Missy Elliott came out and performed, stealing the show in the eyes of many. Twitter began buzzing and hasn’t stopped since the show, which also included Lenny Kravitz, took place.
