Throughout his entire career, Memphis Bleek was touted as the next big thing. However, much pressure was added to him by Jay Z saying he would fill his position. How big of an artist Jay Z was, and still is, made it harder to appreciate what Memphis Bleek brings to the table.
Number one, Memphis Bleek is a strong lyricist, in his own right. Also, he has a successful string of hits on his own. Few credit Memphis Bleek for his part in helping T.I. become the star he is, as he featured him on his “Round Here” single, also featuring Trick Daddy.
Memphis Bleek is now the center of somewhat surprising news. It turns out, Memphis Bleek has filed for bankruptcy and only has $100 to his name. Because of Jay Z once rapping that Bleek would always be a millionaire as long as he was alive, Twitter is going in, even asking if Jay died.
